Sign 2.5. Driving without stopping is prohibited

It is prohibited to move without stopping in front of the stop line, and if it does not exist - in front of the edge of the crossed carriageway. The driver must give way to the vehicle moving along the intersected road, and if Table 8.13 is available, along the main road. Sign 2.5 can be installed in front of a railway crossing or quarantine post. In these cases, the driver must stop in front of the stop line, and in its absence - in front of the sign.

Installed at the intersection of carriageways or at the railway crossing, etc.

Features:

It should be borne in mind that a stop is mandatory if the sign is installed at the intersection of carriageways - at the stop line (if it is applied to the carriageway), and if it does not exist - it is not necessary to stop at the level of the sign, the driver can stop after passing the sign, but not further border crossing.

If the sign is installed at a railway crossing, etc. - the driver is obliged to stop either at the stop line or, in its absence, up to the sign. In this case, stopping behind the sign is considered a traffic violation.

In the case of a traffic light, this sign is not guided.

Punishment for violation of the requirements of the mark:
