Vietnam made a luxury crossover

The young Vietnamese company VinFast, which produces cars based on BMW models of previous generations, has unveiled its new crossover called President. The price for a seven-seater car exceeds 100 thousand dollars. In addition, the company's first 17 SUV buyers are promised a 500% discount. A total of XNUMX units of the new model will be produced.

The crossover is built on the BMW X5 platform. The car is 5146 mm long, 1 987 mm wide and 1760 mm high. The crossover is powered by a 6,2-liter V8 petrol engine. Unit capacity 420 HP and 624 Nm of torque. With this moto, the crossover sprints from 100 to 6,8 in 300 seconds. The maximum speed is XNUMX km per hour. The engine is paired with an eight-speed gearbox and an all-wheel drive system.

The Presiden will receive a diamond-shaped radiator grille and large air intakes. The ground clearance is 183 mm. The new car will receive a panoramic roof, an advanced multimedia system with a large touchscreen, and electrically adjustable seats with massage function. The driver has access to a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

VinFast was founded in 2017 by Pham Nyat Vuong, the first Vietnamese billionaire with dollar income. The entrepreneur was educated in Moscow in the early 90s, and then was engaged in the production of instant noodles "Mivina" in Ukraine.

As for the VinFast brand, its first production cars were called LUX A2.0 and LUX SA 2.0. They were unveiled to the public at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. The sedan and crossover are based on the platform of the previous BMW 5 Series and X5 respectively. The design of the cars was created by the specialists of the Pininfarina studio.
