The most powerful VW Polo in history is up for auction

In Germany, a rare Volkswagen Polo of the previous generation from the limited edition R WRC was put up for auction. The circulation of cars created specifically for the rally homologation is 2,5 thousand units.

The car offered for sale was registered in 2014 and belonged to only one owner. Mileage - 19 thousand km. Those wishing to purchase a rare hatchback will have to pay 22,3 thousand euros. The current generation Volkswagen Polo GTI can now be ordered in Germany for about the same money.

The most powerful production Polo in the history of the model is equipped with a 2,0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 220 hp. and 350 Nm of torque. The unit works in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission. The transmission is forward.

Volkswagen Polo R WRC accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6,4 seconds. The maximum speed is 243 km per hour. The hatchback is equipped with a sports suspension, while there is no limited slip differential.

The three-door body is painted white with a variety of decals and blue and gray stripes. The car is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, splitter, diffuser and roof spoiler.

The interior has sports seats with WRC logo and Alcantara upholstery. The vehicle's equipment list also includes: bi-xenon headlights, RNS 315 navigation system with Bluetooth, power windows, Climatronic air conditioning and DAB digital radio.
