The new Mustang-style crossover will receive a base from Volkswagen ID.3

In November of this year, Ford demonstrated to the public a debut electric car (if you do not take into account cars made on the basis of gasoline models). The crossover was called Mustang Mach-E. Mach is a reference to one of the most powerful electric cars ever produced by the company. Later it became known that it was planned to release not a single model, but a whole family of cars.

Ted Cannins, the head of the company's electrical division, brought some clarity to this. The automaker's plans are as follows: the MEB platform will form the basis of the first representative of the family. It was created for Volkswagen “rosette” models. On this basis, an ID.3 hatchback has already been developed. In addition, it will receive a new crossover, which is scheduled for release next year. It is developed based on the concept of ID Crozz.

So far, there is no exact information on the release date of the new Ford crossover. There is only evidence that the American concern will gain access to the MEB platform. However, they say that in Europe the novelty will appear in 2023.

Most likely, the new crossover will have two versions: with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. It will have several options for engines and batteries. According to unofficial information, the power of the engines will reach 300 hp, and the cruising range is approximately 480 km.
