Malfunctions VAZ 2110. Experience of car owners

A complete list of faults that occurred with my VAZ 2110 during 120 km of operation. At first everything went fine when the car was still new. About a year passed, no breakdowns, I was even surprised how a domestic car can serve for so long and not break down.

But, before I even had time to think about it, the first breakdowns and malfunctions of the Dozens began. First, there were problems with the chassis, somewhere after 40 km I changed the ball joints, as the knocks from the suspension began to get stronger and stronger. But these are all trifles, compared to what malfunctions my Zhiguli had to endure. Problems began to appear and grow like a snowball. The front hub bearings hummed on the left side. I had to go to the service and change. Following this, the right bearing had to be changed, as an unpleasant sound began to come from the right side too.

I hardly had time to move away from the problems with the chassis, as new problems began with my Top Ten. Now these were more serious malfunctions, such as replacing the generator. The battery charge disappeared and only replacement of the generator helped to fix it. Then I had to change the belt on the VAZ 2110 generator, judging by its condition, it would not have lasted even a couple of days. Then, calmly I drove on my dozen for a few thousand kilometers, until at the turns, both to the left and to the right, the drives, or rather the grenades (CV joints) of the front wheels, began to crackle. Their replacement cost me 3500 rubles in a car service. I myself did not begin to replace the CV joints, since I had never encountered such problems before.

Once, having gone to another city, the timing belt broke on the highway, and then I realized that I had made the right choice when I bought myself a Ten with a conventional 8-valve engine. Its advantage over the 16-valve is that when the timing belt breaks, the valve does not bend. Thank God, I had a spare belt with me, somehow with the help of assistants who stopped on the track to help me, changed the timing belt and I drove on. There was a problem with rusted bolts, but WD-40 fluid solved it. After this incident, now I always carry the belt with me, by the way, I also have a spare belt for the generator.

I do not take into account the replacement of bulbs and other consumables, since I have to change bulbs quite often. I changed the oil and filter for my swallow not as written in the car's operating instructions after 10 km, but twice as often, that is, after 000 km. It's just that the habit has remained since the days of the USSR, when it was all like water, it cost a penny and you can take it anywhere. I try to pour only Mobil Super semi-synthetic, the engine on it works just super, quietly and smoothly, the exhaust is perfectly clean, like a new car.

 

Over the entire period of operation, malfunctions of the tenth model were more and more frequent, those parts that, in theory, should have been running for at least another 5 years, began to fail. For example, the rear shock absorbers, both leaked, although I never carried heavy loads and drove the car very carefully, I always drove quietly on holes and bad roads, no more than 40 km / h. Okay, the racks just knocked, but no, they leaked, and besides replacing there was no more exit. Who owns a dozen, he knows that the cost of these parts is very rather big, and if you take into account the replacement, then it turns out to be twice as expensive.

After all these malfunctions, my ten started a new life, have already covered more than 15 km after the last repair. There are no more breakdowns, but the condition of the car body leaves much to be desired, corrosion does not spare the metal of the domestic car. The lower edges of the doors and fenders are already completely yellow, and in some places there is even through rust.

 

Another year will have to ride like this, and then you have to repaint the body, or sell it in this condition. Even anticorrosive treatment does not help our car, probably the quality of anticorrosive treatment is the same as the quality of Russian metal. Still, I came to the conclusion that for the money for which I took the Ten - it's too expensive. And if you look at the prices of the current tenth family of the Ukrainian assembly Bogdan, then I am even more surprised by the prices for these cars. As you know, the build quality of the Ukrainian Bogdanov 2110 and 2111 is an order of magnitude worse than the Russian assembly.

    Please tell me I have such a problem with my 10 when overtaking does not pull at all. Yes, even in the city when the food is no more than 80, the car jerks slightly and does not pull, even though the gas to the floor is useless to zero.

    Check the spark plugs to see if they are the cause. This can also be due to the fact that there is water in the tank. Try to burn out all the gasoline in the tank to the end, and then pour in new gasoline, well, change the candles at the same time.

    I had a similar situation on a VAZ 2112 with a 16-cl engine. But I sold it, and they said that the gears need to be changed. If this did not help, couldn’t it be with the camshafts themselves (or the camshaft, if you have one) .. maybe there is already a strong backlash ??? Is the crankshaft pulley OK?

He went down, turned on the ignition, turned the key further, the starter began to turn, and then the tidy, light, alarm went out. In general, the car does not show signs of life. Moments the parking brake icon on the tidy lights up. In general, everything refused. The battery is new. What could be the reason?

Please tell me, the problem is the following, VAZ 2110, little one, ’98, 8-valve, injector, it won’t start when hot, I can’t figure out what the problem is, the mechanics are also scratching their heads. The gauges were changed (crankshaft position, temperature gauge,) the ignition module was changed, the fuel pump, the valve on the ramp were changed, the injectors sounded ultra-sounding. New explosive wires, new spark plugs, we had diagnostics done by an electrician, we don’t know what else to do! Such a sad story.
