SUBARU recalls 42 thousand cars from Russia

Due to a serious defect, the manufacturer SUBARU recalls 42 thousand cars from Russia. The solution is for Outback, Forester, Tribeca, Impreza, Legacy and WRX models. Cars produced in the period from 2005 to 2011 are withdrawn.

This decision was made because these cars were equipped with airbags manufactured by Takata. Some of them explode. At the same time, a large number of miniature metal parts fly around the cabin. The cause of the explosions is a malfunction of the gas generator.

On recalled cars, they will replace the gas generator for free. Owners need to transfer the car to a company representative and pick it up after the repair.

The company Takata at one time disgraced with these airbags. Cars equipped with them have been withdrawn over the past six years. The total number of cars recalled is approximately 40-53 million. In addition to SUBARU, these pillows were installed in cars Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Ford, Mazda and Ford.
