The Chinese automaker is ready to bring its next product to the Russian market. The Tiggo 8 has already been certified.
The car was first shown to the public in February 2018. It is a crossover based on the Exeed TX concept. The official presentation took place a little later - in April. The event was held as part of the Beijing Auto Show. In June, the car was already fully sold in China.
Until recently, there were only rumors that the car would be supplied to Russia. At the moment, the information is officially confirmed, and the crossover has already passed OTTS certification. The SUV will be supplied to the Russian market starting from the 2nd quarter of 2020.
A year after the official presentation, the crossover has undergone changes. The exterior has been corrected, some interior parameters have been changed. There is no information about which version of the car will be supplied to Russia. The difference in dimensions is out of the question - these indicators are the same for two variations: body length - 4700 mm, distance between axles - 2710 mm. If an updated version of the car is supplied to the Russian market, buyers will enjoy the following features of the restyled version: dynamic turn signals, a modified shape of the radiator grille, L-shaped chrome inserts, and updated head optics.
Buyers will be able to choose the number of seats in the cabin: 5 or 7. In both cases, front-wheel drive is provided. There will be only one motor: a 2-liter unit with 170 hp. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
The exact price of the car on the Russian market is still unknown. If we take the cost in the Chinese market as a basis, the crossover will cost the buyer 787 thousand rubles.
