The aim is to match the needs of all energy consumers in the building.

The EEBUS initiative to promote “smart integration of electric vehicles into homes” has found renewed support from the ring manufacturer.

Electric vehicles, which are expected to grow in the near future, will simultaneously represent an additional load on the grid, but they can also be compared to flexible energy storage (most cars are not in motion).

The aim of the EEBUS initiative is to coordinate the needs of all energy consumers in a building (electric vehicles, appliances, heat pumps ...) to avoid congestion. Therefore, these energy consumers must be connected in order to intelligently manage their needs.

The German company Audi, which has partnered with more than 70 international companies to create a common terminology for energy management in the Internet of Things, allowed designers and engineers to test their work based on an open communication standard at the Audi Brussels plant during the Plugfest E-Mobility hosted by 28 and January 29th. In this case, the devices were connected through a Home Energy Management System (HEMS) to test if they could communicate without interference.

For its part, Audi has introduced a connected system for charging up to 22kW and charging the Audi e-tron battery for 4h30. adjust the intensity of the load according to the needs of the client. In fact, the Audi e-tron is the first electric vehicle to use the new communication standard in its charging system.
