In the summer of 2016, the Chinese automaker unveiled an electric version of the Zotye Z500EV front-wheel drive sedan to the global public. Despite this, the assembly line was set up for almost a year, so the model is considered to be released in 2017, but it appeared on the markets even later - in the spring of 2018. There are few external differences from a similar model equipped with an internal combustion engine. The only difference is the absence of a radiator grille (instead of it there is a plug with a proprietary nameplate).
