In the summer of 2016, the Chinese manufacturer introduced the Zotye Domy X7 front-wheel drive crossover to the world of motorists, which is, in fact, a cheap copy of the VW Cross Coupe in the GTE version. The novelty completely repeats the design of its German counterpart. To make the models at least somewhat different from each other, Chinese designers made minor adjustments to the style of the radiator grille, bumpers, head optics, as well as some interior elements.

Zotye Domy X7 2017 is built on a front-wheel drive platform. The crossover suspension is fully independent with MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link at the rear. The brakes are fully disc brakes. Under the hood of the novelty, a 1.8-liter gasoline power unit is installed, which is equipped with a turbocharger. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. In the basic configuration, the interior of the car is 5-seater, but for a surcharge due to the trunk space, you can order two additional seats.
