In Moscow, city highways, which are continuation of highways, have the same numbering as roads, but with the addition of the letter "M"

Several highways pass through the country, which are part of the network of international European roads. The numbers of such roads consist of the letter “E” and a number printed in white on a green background. The Moscow-Kaluga-Bryansk-Kiev road is designated E101, the Russian section of the road is also designated M3.
