Sign 1.8. Traffic light regulation - Signs of traffic rules of the Russian Federation

Crossroads, pedestrian crossings or stretches of road where traffic is regulated by a traffic light.

Installed in n. n. for 50-100 m, outside n. - for 150-300 m, the sign can be installed at a different distance, but the distance is stipulated in Table 8.1.1 "Distance to the object".

Features:

The sign warns of approaching an intersection, pedestrian crossing or a section of the road where traffic is regulated by traffic lights.

The yellow background on the sign 1.8, installed in the places of road works, means that these signs are temporary.

In cases where the meanings of temporary road signs and stationary road signs contradict each other, drivers should be guided by the temporary signs.

Punishment for violation of the requirements of the mark:

Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation 12.12 h. 1 Travel to a traffic light prohibiting signal or to a prohibiting gesture by a traffic controller, except for the cases provided for in part 1 of article 12.10 of this Code and part 2 of this article

- a fine of 1000 rubles;

in case of repeated violation - 5000 rubles or deprivation of the right to drive from 4 to 6 months
