Xpeng P7: a competitor for Tesla?

Chinese manufacturer Xpeng is preparing to release a large P7 electric sedan. The manufacturer plans to compete with Tesla. Xpeng is a company that was founded in 2014. At that time, the Chinese government decided to lead the global trend of switching to electric cars, but, as we see, this is not possible. P7 - another attempt to change the disposition of forces in the global ranking of "green" cars.

The car was presented to the general public in November, and now details regarding the technical characteristics of the sedan have become known. The length of the car body is 4900 mm, the length of the wheelbase is 3000 mm. There are several variants of the sedan. The first one is cheaper. The car is equipped with rear-wheel drive and a 267 hp engine. Acceleration to "hundreds" takes 6,7 seconds. Battery capacity - 80,87 kWh. On a single charge, the car is capable of driving 550 km.

The improved version of the car has two engines and a power of 430 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4,3 seconds. The power reserve is the same as the first version.

Pre-orders for the sedan accepted. The first cars will be sent to owners in the second quarter of 2020.

The model is positioned as a premium car. Therefore, you should expect from the sedan wide functionality and expensive interior trim materials.
