Chinese manufacturer Xpeng is preparing to launch the P7 large electric sedan. The manufacturer plans to compete with Tesla. Xpeng is a company that was founded in 2014. At that time, the Chinese government decided to lead the global trend of switching to electric vehicles, but, as we can see, this is not being done. The P7 is another attempt to change the disposition of forces in the world ranking of "green" cars.
The car was presented to the general public in November, and now details have become known regarding the technical characteristics of the sedan. The length of the car body is 4900 mm, the length of the wheelbase is 3000 mm. There are several sedan options. The first one is cheaper. The car is equipped with a rear wheel drive and a 267 hp engine. Acceleration to "hundreds" takes 6,7 seconds. The battery capacity is 80,87 kWh. On one charge, the car is capable of driving 550 km.
The improved version of the car has two motors and a power of 430 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4,3 seconds. The power reserve is the same as the first version.
Pre-orders for the sedan are accepted. The first cars will be shipped to owners in the second quarter of 2020.
The model is positioned as a premium car. Therefore, we should expect a wide range of functionality and expensive interior materials from the sedan.
