The X-raid team from Trebur in Hesse started the season with a bang. Together with his new co-driver Eduard Boulanger, Dakar record holder Stefan Peteransel won the Baja Poland in Mini ALL4 Racing.
The event marked the first race in the FIA Cross Country Bach World Cup after a seven-month hiatus at the Crown. For X-raid, it was a successful renewal of participation - in addition to winning, the team managed to win four of the seven special stages.
Krzysztof Holowczyc and Lukasz Kurzia finished the home rally with Mini John Cooper Works in seventh place. Michal Maluszynski and Yulita Maluszynski also achieved excellent results in the Mini JCW rally - the Polish couple, who started under their own license, took third place.
The third special stage summed up the victory. Heavy rains flooded the track, many participants had to face conditions and technical problems. Stefan Peteransel was the best in the situation and gave his best.
Then the fast French were in the lead in the general classification. As in Golovchitsa, which led to this stage, there were problems with the generator due to moisture, lost a lot of time and came out only to seventh place in the general classification.
“I am very pleased with this victory. The conditions were extremely difficult - a lot of water and mud. I have seen many racers who have problems on the track because of them. We were very careful, but it was not easy for us, ”said Stefan Peteransel in the final.
