The recipe they used to develop the C30 is not new. They took as a basis the chassis, on which the S40, V50 and C70 are already installed, re-adjusted (read: hardened), offered all engines that can be inserted into the nose (there are ten of them, we will have eight), they enriched them with three gearboxes ( Geartronic's five-speed and five- and six-speed manual transmissions), gave designers more freedom and released what they say is the most distinctive model in their lineup. And in another way: "Cool car for active people."

Because young people live a dynamic life, move around the city center a lot and mostly ride alone or in couples, the C30 has gotten the right length (it's 40 centimeters shorter than the S22) while maintaining exactly the same level of comfort in the front as the S40 or V50. , and in the back, instead of benches, two separate seats were installed. Thus, there is room for only two, but this is enough to provide a class-appropriate (high) level of comfort when four must go on a journey.

If you are wondering what is so exciting about this car to attract younger buyers, we need to look for these things primarily in the back of the cabin. This one is new and rather atypical for Volvo. The roof is finished with a spoiler (the most powerful engines have an additional spoiler), two exhaust pipes (each on one side) and, above all, a rear window, which is frameless and at the same time acts as a tailgate. ... Also of interest are the taillights, which glow at night in the form of two semicircles directed downward.

Especially for young people, they have also compiled a rich list of accessories with which they can make the C30 their own. So, there are various rims available in sizes from 15 to 18 inches, plastic trim on the lower part of the body, which can be in black, brown or body color, Cosmic White Pear color is completely new in the palette, you can choose between different shades of goods in the interior (even the base trim is available in three colors: red, blue and black), there is no trunk lid on the back - you can find it in the list of additional services - but instead of one there are two (soft and hard version). For those who value sportiness, there is a sports steering wheel, shifter and aluminum pedals, as Volvo has long been used to, as well as a rich choice of audio systems.

The basic Performance version has an amplifier (4 x 20 W) and four speakers. High Performance is even greater with four speakers. At the top is also the Premium Sound model, which hides a digital amplifier, ICE Power (Alpine) and Pro Logic II Sound technologies, five 130-watt outputs and ten speakers from renowned Danish manufacturer Dynaudio. This is not all. Thanks to the CD changer, this system also reads music recorded in MP3 and WMA formats, and it will also be equipped with ports for iPod and USB next spring.

If none of the Volvo divisions have ever questioned, this is about safety. And the C30 is no exception. In it you will find everything that the big ones have. Extra reinforced zones, two-stage front airbags, self-tightening seat belts with tension limiters, controlled deformation of the steering column, SIPS (side impact protection system), IC (inflatable curtains), WHIPS (Volvo Whiplash Protection System) in the front seats, which reduces the likelihood back injuries, a well-thought-out rear end design, an additionally protected fuel tank in front of the rear axle, and last but not least, a front end designed to minimize the likelihood of pedestrian injury.

And safety will undoubtedly be one of the trump cards of this Volvo, which will play a more important role in the fight against the competition. In our country, this can also apply to prices. The base model with a 1-liter petrol engine will be available for just 6 4.361.500 SITs. More than an engine, however, the list of equipment, which also includes things like ABS, DSTC, six airbags, an audio system, air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, is compelling. ...

For the most unexpected: the C30 is already available to order, and the first buyers in Slovenia will receive their Volvo in February or March next year.

The C30 is aimed at young people and proves it with its looks. Maybe all fans of this brand will not like the rear end, but it is undeniable that it is definitely new.
