Volkswagen Tiguan 2015 is based on a modular platform known from other models of the German automaker. The company's engineers re-tuned the bogie a bit to accommodate the upgraded suspension. In the base, the car is front-wheel drive, but when ordering the 4Motion system, the torque is partially redistributed to the rear axle when the front wheels slip.
