When we say that the Multivan is not a van, we mean it very seriously. Why? Simply because it rides like a big business sedan but offers at least twice the space and comfort. So we don't blame it for the salty price, it's no ordinary van with cheap panels bolted on the inside to hide the proverbial metal structure. No, you really won't find it. Already the fourth and then the fifth generation of the Transporter with this label set milestones in the automotive industry, and more than ten years have passed since this previous chapter.

Outwardly, it does not differ much from, say, T5. Okay, they tweaked the grille to make it more modern and in line with Volkswagen's design steps, now there is irreplaceable LED technology in the headlights, and if we don't pay attention to some trims, a slightly modified line and some notches more here, and where- then even less, that's all. At least at first glance. Bah, no connection ?! What do you think, how thoughtfully they took it up. Namely, Volkswagen is perfectly implementing the strategy that the best evolution is better than revolutionary design changes. As a result, their cars may be less flashy and glamorous, but they still deeply imprint themselves on the human subconscious.

And one more thing, they make sure that there are no major construction errors and failures. This is also confirmed by the breakdown statistics, which, despite their existence, still put the Volkswagen Transporter in the first place in terms of reliability. Perhaps another top fact: Muti-van holds its value incredibly well when it comes to used cars. Few lose their value in five or ten years. Hence, it is definitely a smart investment if you are already investing in sheet metal on wheels. If you don’t believe, just take a look at the online portals of used cars: this applies both at home and in other European countries. But one name cannot be held above if there is no foundation below, if there is no foundation for it.

So, of course, we were very interested in how convincing the Multivan T6 is. In one word: it is so! For example, my colleague Sasha went to the Bavarian capital and back and intended to use a good seven liters per 100 kilometers, while not forgetting two important facts. His height is 195 centimeters (yes, he plays great basketball), and after returning home he was so rested that he could go to Munich and back. Despite the fact that it was equipped not with the most powerful engine, but with a two-liter diesel engine, which is the golden mean in terms of power, if you look at the engine list, that is, with 110 kilowatts or 150 "horsepower", it has enough sheen for a dynamic move and does not breathe uphill when moving with its good mass of two tons.

It's amazing how well the Multivan rides. The long wheelbase eliminates the annoying flicker and vibration that is otherwise only felt on long journeys. The vehicle follows the commands precisely and calmly thanks to the vehicle-friendly multifunction steering wheel and the high driver's seat for exceptional visibility. To be exaggerated, it creates its own electronics that gently warns where the limit is and gives the driver good feedback on what's going on under the wheels. Also thanks to the selected accessories or more precisely the flexible DCC chassis. But the luxury is not over: what a place, wow! Rarely do they have such comfy chairs in their living room as this car. The combination of leather and Alcantara warming on a cold morning will really take care of your side and give your back a rest when you reach your destination. As far as the rear seats are concerned, we could write a half-magazine about how flexible they are and with rails in the floor that allow for a very precise amount of adjustment. And so you don't have to go to the gym and train deadlifts. As long as you leave the two front passenger seats and the rear bench in their places, moving back and forth is so easy that a child or a very fragile young lady, who, as we like to say, weighs no more, can do it. than 50 kilograms.

Well, if you want to get them out, just call those stronger friends, because one place here weighs somewhere like the aforementioned girl. Call your neighbors to remove the back bench, because this is not done for two average grandfathers, but for four. Under each seat you will find a large plastic box for small items where children can store their favorite toys, for example, the front pair of seats can also be rotated by pulling the lever 180 degrees and looking forward instead, so you can talk in peace. with passengers in the back seat.

Simply put, this passenger space can also be a mini conference room where you can hold meetings or presentations between colleagues on the way to your next meeting. And if someone asks you when you get into your car if you should take off your shoes and where to put on your slippers, don't be surprised. Wall coverings, details, quality materials and a soft carpet on the floor really bring the comfort of a home living room. But on the other hand, great interior design means it needs more attention. For families with small children who are considering such vehicles, we highly recommend the optional rubber mat, where dirt cannot be recognized and will burn into the fabric, like here. Excellent air conditioning is also ensured by the excellent Climatic air conditioner, as each passenger can set their own microclimate.

We didn't find any problems when the front was too hot and the rear too cold, but conversely, the temperature can be set very precisely throughout the cabin. It's just another impressive feature, as is the handy dashboard where you can select menus using buttons on the large LCD screen or even commands from that screen, which is of course touch sensitive. However, the driver can do a lot by moving the left and right thumbs while holding the steering wheel. But the assistance to the driver did not end there. In addition to the radar cruise control, which is easy to use and works accurately, there is also an automatic beam length adjustment and emergency braking assistant. The Mutivan T6 Comfortline is actually a lengthened, enlarged and widened Passat, but with significantly more space and comfort.

Anyone who appreciates the comfort and freedom offered by a van, but does not want to give up prestige when traveling, will find Multivan a very interesting alternative to enrich their fleet. Considering what it offers, it is clear that the price is getting quite high. The basic Multivan Comfortline will be yours for a good 36 thousand, namely, the one in which there was a rich equipment, for a good 59 thousand. This is not a small amount, but in fact it is a prestigious business limousine for men with a tie, which they rent for the weekend and take with their family on a trip or skiing to fashionable alpine resorts.
