At the end of the summer of 2017, the German automaker introduced a facelift version of the Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan compact minivan, built on the basis of the standard Golf. The novelty has received an exterior update, typical for the modernization of all models of the Golf line. Compared to the previous modification, the new compact MPV has got slightly redrawn bumpers, a different grille and head optics with a modified geometry.

A 2017-liter TSI petrol engine is installed under the hood of the Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan 1.5. The power unit is able to turn off half of the cylinders at minimum engine loads.
