But times change, and while the classic Mini is still the backbone of the Mini lineup, the Countryman is the most casual, the most useful, and the most (Clubman notwithstanding) family.

But this diesel is kind of created for the Countryman. Two liters of displacement and zero-winding power of 105 kilowatts (143 "horsepower") simultaneously signal that there is enough torque, and there is no need to intervene too often in the gear lever of the six-speed manual transmission.

The All4 designation on the Mini means all-wheel drive, which is completely invisible in day-to-day use. That doesn't have a huge impact on mileage, as this Countryman is content with less than eight liters of diesel per 100 kilometers if you don't have a heavy right leg.

For those for whom day-to-day family car use is not enough, there is also a Sport button that sharpens the compatriot's reaction, so driving on tarmac or gravel roads (this Mini is great here) can be much nicer than you might know .. just look at the mass and engine performance in technical specifications.

Interior? Classic mini. In the front you can (besides the taller seats) sit in any Mini, in the back (this Countryman had a classic back bench, but you can also think of only two clearly separated seats) children always happy, adults only for limited distances, trunk (also from -for all-wheel drive) among more (depending on the external dimensions of the car) small (but not too small): In short: again, more or less classic.

Thirty thousand or more for such a big car is neither cheap nor cheap, but at least you know why you dug deeper into your wallet: brand and image also have a price.
