VAZ 2110 convertible with a convertible top!
If you want to see a really unique serial or small-scale car here, then I dare to disappoint you. For the most part, the review presented below will be entertaining, since technically this convertible from the VAZ 2110 cannot exist. No, of course, if we take into account all the loads on the body after cutting off the roof, and then modify the load-bearing structure, then such a solution may take place, but in this case all this is absent.
To make this kind of convertible, it took us no more than an hour and a saber saw to help. Of course, you can do with a grinder, but this is a more dangerous and less pleasant tool to work with than a saw.
- Cut off all the body pillars, including the door frames, so that everything was on the same level
- Of course, they left the windshield and the rear, although the rear is hardly needed
- The seat belt anchorage had to be unscrewed at the B-pillars
If you have enough interest to watch the video review to the end, then it is not worth explaining that due to a sharp decrease in the body stiffness indicator, as well as due to the lack of front seat belts, the operation of this vehicle is not possible. Of course, you can still ride at a speed of 20 km / h through the rows of garages, but even this is not very safe.
