The official premiere of the UAZ Patriot 2017 model year took place in October 2016. The second restyling differs from the previous one with an updated radiator grille (the cells have become noticeably larger), as well as a completely different interior. The most important change affected the security system - the car received front airbags.

If we compare this model with its predecessor, then in this Patriot the interior noise insulation and the ergonomics of the console have improved (there are fewer parts that creaked heavily during movement in the last modification). Under the hood, the car gets a 2.7-liter gasoline engine, which worked well in the previous model. The power unit is paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
The new Patriot has good cross-country ability, and to overcome off-road conditions, it has a permanent rear-wheel drive with a connected front axle. The transmission is also equipped with a 2-speed transfer case. Its modes are switched using the selector knob located on the console in the passenger compartment.
