Requirements for cyclists

6.1

Cycling is permitted for persons over 14 years of age.

6.2

The cyclist has the right to control the bicycle, which is equipped with an audible signal and retroreflectors: in front - white, on the sides - orange, behind - red.

For movement in the dark and in conditions of insufficient visibility, a lamp (headlamp) must be installed and turned on.

6.3

Cyclists moving in groups must ride one after another so as not to interfere with other road users.

A column of cyclists moving along the roadway should be divided into groups (up to 10 cyclists in a group) with a travel distance between groups of 80-100 m.

6.4

A cyclist can only transport goods that do not interfere with the bicycle and do not create obstacles to other road users.

6.5

If the bike path crosses the road outside the intersection, cyclists must give way to other vehicles moving along the road.

6.6

The cyclist is prohibited from:

a)operate a bicycle with a faulty brake, an audible signal, and in the dark and in low visibility conditions - with the lamp (headlight) turned off or without reflectors;
b)move on motorways and roads for cars, as well as on the carriageway, if there is a bicycle path nearby;
at)move along sidewalks and footpaths (except for children under 7 years old on children's bicycles under the supervision of adults);
d)hold onto another vehicle while driving;
e)ride without holding the wheel, and remove the legs from the pedals (footboards);
d)carry passengers on a bicycle (with the exception of children under 7 years old, transported in an extra seat equipped with securely fixed footrests);
f)tow bicycles;
is)tow a trailer not intended for use with a bicycle.

6.7

Cyclists must comply with the requirements of this Regulation regarding drivers or pedestrians and do not contradict the requirements of this section.
