Tesla Model S and Model X with improved software

In the US, the base Tesla Model X crossover costs at least $74690. In the first six months of 2020, Tesla has improved the autonomous range of the Model S hatchback twice. In February, this figure peaked at 628 km, and in June it reached 647 km. The Model S also received updated powertrain software that made the electric car even more dynamic. The same is true for the Model X crossover, which this year has become not only faster, but also more autonomous. And very soon, according to Elon Musk, the next updates "Model" and "Model X" will be available for download "over the air", this time they will affect the suspension and autopilot.

The updated air suspension software for the Tesla Model S and Model X electric vehicles is now available for download, and the heavily modified autopilot will be ready in 6-10 weeks. Elon Musk is currently testing a preliminary version of the program in his personal car.

In the US, the base Tesla Model X crossover costs at least $74690. By comparison, the Audi e-tron Sportback costs $77. Tesla's autonomous range is 400 km and it takes 565 seconds to reach 97 km/h. Audi has the same figures - 4,4 km and 446 seconds.

After installing the improved control program, the adaptive air suspension should provide a more comfortable ride and more collected cornering behavior. In addition, the driver will be able to adjust the ground clearance and memorize settings depending on the specific area. At some point, the car will automatically raise or lower the cabin and calibrate the shock absorbers based on information previously stored in memory. Autopilot, on the other hand, is moving towards major enhancements that will make it more sophisticated in all aspects and add new features. For example, Tesla will be able to slow down in front of bumps and go around them.
