    The new UAZ truck is ready to compete with GAZelle, the leader of commercial vehicles in Russia. But there were some minor shortcomings. Snow along the roadsides is black from coal dust, and loaded BelAZ trucks from the Raspadsky open pit come across every now and then. These are probably the smallest of the mining dump trucks, but against their background, the UAZ Profi lorry looks like a toy. Nevertheless, this is the most load-bearing vehicle in the line of the Ulyanovsk plant. Here comes a rare dump truck of the Russian company Tonar, as if all consisting of a huge square hood.     Ten years ago, the UAZ Patriot became the first Russian car with ABS, but it received airbags and a stabilization system only now - with the latest update, it’s not Noah’s Ark and not a dinosaur skeleton. On the next mountain peak, another ancient artifact was waiting for us - a frame from an UAZ that had grown into the ground. The higher the village in Armenia, the worse the road there, the more Ulyanovsk SUVs are found. Even the ancient GAZ-69s from the time of the Flood are still on the move. UAZ is considered here as a simple and very hardy rural transport, something between a donkey and a self-propelled chassis.
