As part of the Chicago Auto Show, which took place in early 2019, the seventh generation of the all-wheel drive Subaru Legacy sedan was presented. The exterior design has not undergone drastic changes, thanks to which the model has retained its recognizability. The designers slightly adjusted the style of the car so that it looked more dynamic, but did not lose its strict outlines.

The 2019 Subaru Legacy is built on a Subaru global bogie that delivers improved body rigidity. The novelty has received sharper steering. As for the motor range, it has changed slightly. Instead of a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter engine, a turbocharged gasoline boxer is installed. Its volume is 2.4 liters (installed in the Ascent). Optionally, a 2.6-liter naturally aspirated power unit is offered, which was installed in previous generations of the model.
