With the Chevrolet brand, we all think of a cheap car that is familiar from the outside as well as from the inside, as well as while driving. For some it is annoying, for some it is not, the car just needs to be known and understood, and ultimately find out for whom it is intended.

We are sure that each of you, like us, would prefer to drive the best car at the moment. Whether it's a family van, including this Lacetti Wagon, or a sports car, an urban SUV or maybe an elegant limousine. But he gets stuck in finances. Desires and dreams are one thing, the reality and the size of the monthly salary on the current account are another. Money is undoubtedly one of the main criteria when buying a new car.

The expectations of the Lacetti were, of course, not very high, the biggest criterion was, in our opinion, whether it can justify the relationship between price and what it offers us during everyday use.

Firstly, the pleasant appearance and soft "caravan" lines indicate that this is a typical and proven design for cars of this class. The important thing about this car is its trunk, which basically has a decent 400 liters, and when the rear bench is lowered, even 1.410 liters. We didn't miss and didn't need extra space.

Spaciousness is one of the main trump cards of this car. Sitting in the driver's seat is comfortable without feeling cramped. It is also height adjustable and comes with a lumbar support. There is an armrest between the driver and front passenger seats, which could be a little more ergonomic. Sitting on the rear folding bench is also comfortable: there is enough room for your knees and head even with a height of about 180 centimeters. Only very large passengers complained a bit about the space in front of their knees.

So there is no shortage of comfort for this money. If you think about all the equipment: power windows, radio with CD player, air conditioning, lots of cosmetic accessories, beautifully made and useful hardware with imitation metal strips, alloy wheels, anti-skid ABS, fog lights, then the car really has a lot of things in it. offers.

During the trip itself, the Lacetti surprised us a little, since we didn't really expect much. But look, this Chevrolet runs quietly and at high speeds and is not confused by the bumps or truck wheels on the highway. Only harsh harsh braking on the highway shakes it up a bit and gives it a headache for a comfortable chassis. The Lacetti SW is certainly not a race car you would like to get some adrenaline in, and if the driver is aware of this, the car will do its job right.

For the usual quick family trip, however, we just couldn't find a reason to criticize.

The excellent 1 liter petrol engine and 8-valve technology also contribute to smooth operation. It develops its 16 hp. due to the constant increase in engine power and significant torque, which reaches a maximum of 122 Nm at 164 rpm. We just lacked a little more precision and speed during the actual operation of the gearbox and shift lever. It might even improve the otherwise solid acceleration from 4.000 to 0 kilometers per hour, which in our measurements was 100 seconds.

On the highway, reaching cruising speeds of up to 130 kilometers per hour is a cat's cough, and there's little need to downshift when the driver wants to pick up the pace a bit. At that time, Lacetti SW quickly develops a maximum speed of 181 kilometers per hour. With a solid stopping distance of 40 meters, we can say that the brakes correspond to the course, which is suitable for this machine.

Moreover, the fuel consumption is not excessive. During the pursuit, on average, it did not exceed 11 liters per 6 kilometers, but otherwise the average consumption for combined driving around the city, road and highway was about 100 liters all the time.

So with a price tag of just over 3 million tolar, the Chevrolet Lacetti SW is a car that will appeal to anyone looking for a lot at the lowest possible price.

  • The Lacetti SW is definitely a great car at a reasonable price. It has everything you need for a comfortable family van and is equipped with a great engine. And you will not believe it, but even the situation on the road is no longer as unreliable as we are used to with cars of this brand.
