Seat Mii Electric – review by Autokult and Car Magazine

An Autokult journalist conducted a small test of the Seat Mia Electric, the twin brother of the VW e-Up (2020) and the Skoda CitigoE iV. His impressions? At lower speeds, the car rushes forward briskly, at higher speeds it is slower and louder in the cabin. But in general, it is calm, comfortable and economical.

Before we move on to the review / test, a quick reminder that Seat Mii Electric Specification:

  • segment: A (city car),
  • battery capacity: 32,3 kWh (net; 36,8 kWh total)
  • reception: 260 km WLTP, or ~ 220 km real range,
  • power: 61 kW (83 HP)
  • torque: 210 Nm.

The review on the Autokult website (HERE) is a long list of impressions about the car. We started by looking for real mileage information and it seems that in good weather the car maintains the parameters promised by the manufacturer: in Mii Electric must beat about 250 km on a single charge (compare with the WLTP value), for faster distances the power consumption was 220 kilometers (compare with our estimate for the real range).

Car offers four levels of recuperationUnfortunately, their description on the Autokult website is very similar to the description in Car Magazine (compare HERE) - so we won't know if the weakest one allows you to drive in neutral, but we can guess that the strongest one causes a similar feeling. by pressing the brake pedal.

Both Autokult and Car Magazine unanimously agree that the car is perfectly normal: it does not associate with the VW Up GTI, it rocks slightly when dynamically driving, but does not behave like a golf cart because heavy battery keeps it on the go. Seat Mii Electric weighs 1 kilogramThus, the car is 299 kg heavier than the internal combustion engine, but still provides the best acceleration in the range.

If mentioned: up to 50 km / h the car accelerates in 3,9 secondsThis means that in the city a car can easily compete with scooters. Above this value is much worse The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 12,3 seconds.... So for the city and yes, for local roads, it will work too, but on the highway, the driver of the electric seat is more likely to stick to the right lane. Especially this the top speed was limited to 130 km / h..

As Car Magazine notes, Mia Electric interior it doesn't seem very cheap, although it's hard to expect fireworks in the lowest price range. The materials seem to be selected for the class of the car, although they are rigid, and the biggest minus is the already mentioned noise reaching the cabin - because now it is not drowned out by the operation of the internal combustion engine.
