In the summer of 2017, the SEAT Arona, the first generation of the five-door crossover, was presented. The novelty is a bit like the latest generation SEAT Ibiza, as it is built on an identical modular platform. The manufacturer decided to give the crossover not only almost identical dimensions, but also introduced into the design of the car features characteristic of the original hatchback.

TECH SPECS:
One of several powertrain options is installed under the hood of the new crossover. Their volume is 1.0 (three cylinders, and can run on methane), 1.5 and 1.6 liters. The list includes several modifications of gasoline and diesel units. They are compatible with 5 or 6-speed manual transmissions and some of them rely on a 7-speed DSG preselective robot.
In the top trim levels there is a sports suspension with stiffer shock absorbers, as well as several operating modes of the power unit.
