Extended Test: Ford Focus 1.5 EcoBlue // Well Received

Let's remind: last year the members of the jury of the European Commission "Car of the Year", which includes our Sebastian, recognized him as the best on the old continent, and then he beat all competitions at the national level. For a good year and a half, we tested it with tests, but we still haven't had a chance to get to know it through the lens of an ordinary user.

Usability and flexibility are Focus' strengths, so there shouldn't be a problem here. The rather classic station wagon design without sharply sloping lines provides a fairly spacious interior and, as a result, four passengers should not complain about the lack of space. The driver sits quite low, the seat is displaced in the longitudinal direction. tall people will be happy tooand ergonomics thought out to the smallest detail. Compared to its predecessor, the anchor has been improved, but still, these task-related switches were not stored in the infotainment system, but remained visible and at hand. The meters remain classic too, but they are supported by an eight-inch screen between the meters and a projection screen that still runs on the old Hoof - so it projects data onto the windshield rather than the windshield.

Extended Test: Ford Focus 1.5 EcoBlue // Well Received

For generations, the Focus has been regarded as a driver-focused car, and this new one is no exception. The position on the road, the perception of what is happening on the corners, the feel of the steering wheel - everything is very authentic, and together this gives the driver a feeling of confidence in the car. In addition to a well-tuned chassis and steering system, good drive mechanics also make a huge contribution to this. Our long runner boasts 1,5 liter turbodieselwhich works with a six-speed dual-clutch robotized gearbox. The well-proven combination provides exemplary shifts and catches up with the speed of daily driving, coughing only on cold mornings, when the engine is slightly louder for the first few kilometers and the transmission is off until both are at operating temperature.

Two data related to the economic side of the use of vehicles: according to our rate, it has reached an average of 4,6 liters per 100 kilometers, and on the highway at 130 kilometers per hour it consumes 5,2 liters... That's all. There are many routes ahead of our Focus, as the list of bookings in the editorial office is well filled, so wait for exhaustive notes and interesting photos. Focus, welcome!
