Traffic Laws. Crossroads.

16.1

An intersection where the sequence of travel is determined by traffic signals or traffic control is considered adjustable. At such an intersection, priority signs do not apply.

If the traffic light is turned off or when it is blinking yellow and the traffic controller is absent, the intersection is considered unregulated and drivers must be guided by the rules for driving unregulated intersections and priority signs set at the intersection relevant road signs (new changes from 15.11.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX).

16.2

At regulated and unregulated intersections, the driver, turning right or left, must give way to pedestrians crossing the carriageway he is turning to, as well as to cyclists moving directly in the same direction.

16.3

If it is necessary to provide an advantage in traffic to vehicles moving on an intersecting road, the driver must stop the vehicle in front of road markings 1.12 (stop line) or 1.13, a traffic light so as to see its signals, and if they are absent, before the edge of the intersected carriageway without obstructing the movement of pedestrians.

16.4

It is forbidden to go to any intersection, including at a traffic light that permits movement, if there is a traffic jam that will force the driver to stop at the intersection, which will create an obstacle to the movement of other vehicles and pedestrians.

Adjustable crossroads

16.5

When a traffic signal is issued by a traffic controller or a traffic light is used to enable traffic, the driver must give way to vehicles completing traffic through the intersection, as well as to pedestrians completing the crossing.

1.6

Turning left or turning around at the green signal of the main traffic light, the driver of a non-rail vehicle must give way to a tram in a passing direction, as well as to vehicles moving in the opposite direction straight or turning right.

This rule should be guided by each other and tram drivers.

16.7

If the signal of the traffic controller or the green signal of the traffic light allows simultaneous movement of the tram and non-rail vehicles, the tram is given an advantage regardless of the direction of its movement.

16.8

A driver who has left at the intersection of carriageways according to a traffic light that permits movement must leave in the intended direction regardless of the traffic signals at the exit. However, if there is a road marking 1.12 (stop line) or a traffic sign 5.62 at the intersections in front of the traffic lights on the driver’s path, it must be guided by the signals of each traffic light.

16.9

When moving in the direction of the arrow, included in the additional section at the same time as the yellow or red traffic signal, the driver must give way to vehicles moving from other directions.

When driving in the direction of the green arrow on a sign set at the red signal of a traffic light with a vertical arrangement of signals, the driver must occupy the rightmost (left) lane and give way to vehicles and pedestrians moving from other directions.

16.10

At the intersection where traffic is controlled by a traffic light with an additional section, the driver, who is in the lane with which the turn is made, must continue to move in the direction indicated by the arrow included in the additional section, if his stop at the traffic light inhibiting signal will create obstacles for vehicles moving behind him in the same lane.

Unregulated intersections

16.11

At the intersection of unequal roads, the driver of a vehicle moving on a secondary road should give way to vehicles approaching a given intersection of carriageways along the main road, regardless of the direction of their further movement.

16.12

At the intersection of equivalent roads, the driver of a non-rail vehicle must give way to vehicles approaching on the right, except for intersections with roundabouts (new changes from 15.11.2017).

This rule should be guided by each other and tram drivers.

At any unregulated intersection, a tram, regardless of the direction of its further movement, has an advantage over non-rail vehicles approaching it on an equivalent road, except for intersections with roundabouts (new changes from 15.11.2017).

The advantage in driving at unregulated intersections, at which roundabouts are organized and indicated by the road sign 4.10, is granted to vehicles that are already moving in a circle (new changes from 15.11.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX).

16.13

Before turning to the left and turning, the driver of a non-rail vehicle must give way to a tram of a passing direction, as well as to vehicles moving on an equivalent road in the opposite direction, directly or to the right.

This rule should be guided by each other and tram drivers.

16.14

If the main road at the intersection changes direction, the drivers of vehicles moving along it must be guided by the rules of passage of intersections of equivalent roads.

This rule should be guided among themselves and drivers moving on minor roads.

16.15

If it is impossible to determine the presence of coverage on the road (dark time of day, dirt, snow, etc.), and there are no priority signs, the driver should consider that he is on a secondary road.
