Breakdown of the generator on the VAZ 2112

A year ago, there was an idea to sell my VAZ 2105, which ran more than 400 km in our family, and to buy some fresh front-wheel drive car. Since at that time models of the tenth family began to come into fashion, it was on these cars that I had my eye. But most of all I liked the VAZ 000 hatchback, in my opinion one of the most successful models of domestic cars.

I went to the market and spent half a day in search of a car, there were not very many options and stopped at a dvenashke, the color MIRAGE, she was only 2 years old and the mileage was about 50 km. We decided that it would be an excellent choice, especially since the price was quite attractive. We examined it all, there seemed to be no complaints about the body, everything was polished at the station, so that the shagreens were not visible on the paint.

Ride around the city with the owner and the car arranged, went to make out. They quickly registered everything, and we rushed home. I checked everything at home, it turned out that there was a pretty good signalization with Tomahawk feedback and auto-start of the engine. Which came in very handy during the winter. Getting up early in the morning, I start the engine from the key fob, and while I have breakfast, the car is already warmed up in the garage.

We drove several thousand kilometers without any problems, and then the first breakdown appeared, the battery charging disappeared. Since it was winter time, and it was very cold in the garage, I did not repair it myself. I phoned many of my friends who had already encountered similar breakdowns and they advised me this service, where I did an inexpensive generator repair in Kiev. So everything was done quickly, since the breakdown was not very serious, it was only necessary to replace the diode bridge, which failed, one of the capacitors burned out. After installing a new diode bridge, my generator gave a charge of at least 13,6 volts with the lights and the stove turned on, which had never happened before.
