What is Bronecor paint?
Bronecor paint is one of the three polymer coatings for cars widely known in the Russian Federation. Paints Titanium and Raptor are subjectively more widespread, but their superiority in market share cannot be called critical.
Polymeric paint Bronekor is produced by the Russian company KrasCo. It is usually supplied as a kit, which includes:
- polymer base (component A);
- hardener (component B);
- color.
The volumes of the components are immediately selected in such a way that one can of hardener is used for one standard container of the base at the proportion recommended by the manufacturer. The coloring composition is added depending on the desired depth and saturation of the final color of the painted car.
The manufacturer promises the following qualities of a properly created coating with Bronecor paints:
- surface strength with simultaneous elasticity (the paint is not brittle, does not break off in pieces);
- inertness with respect to most chemically aggressive substances encountered during the operation of a car (gasoline and diesel fuel, oils, brake fluids, salts, etc.);
- the ability to create a layer of paint up to 1 mm thick without losing the properties of the coating;
- resistance to precipitation and UV rays;
- masking defects of the original paintwork and minor body damage;
- durability (in the middle lane, the paint lasts from 15 years).
At the same time, the cost of Bronekor paints, when assessing the price per unit of the painted area, does not exceed analogues.
Armored Core or Raptor. What's better?
Raptor appeared on the market a few years earlier than Bronecor. During this time, the paint manufacturer Raptor changed the composition several times, balancing the proportions of the main components and modifying the additive package.
The first Raptor paints, according to car owners, did not have a long service life. Modern versions of this polymer coating are much more reliable and durable.
Bronecor paint immediately after being put on the market has established itself as a quality product with high surface hardness after hardening and good adhesion to various types of processed materials. If we discard the obviously customized reviews on the network, then this polyurethane coating is very similar in its characteristics to Raptor paints.
It is important to understand here that polymer paints, like no other types of body paintwork, are sensitive to the quality of the preparation of the treated surfaces. It is extremely important to 100% and as uniformly mat the body elements before painting and degrease them thoroughly. After all, one of the main drawbacks of any polyurethane paint is poor adhesion. And if the preparation of the body is unsatisfactory, then there is no need to talk about the long service life of the polymer coating.
But if the preparation is done correctly, the paint components are mixed in the recommended proportions and the application technology is followed (the main thing is to create a coating of the required thickness and sufficient exposure between layers), then both the Raptor and Bronecore will last a long time. If the preparation and the painting work itself is done in violation of the technology, then any polymer paint will begin to peel off in the first months, even without external influence.

The main clientele for repainting a car in polymer paints are the owners of SUVs or passenger cars that are used off-road. The standard factory paintwork of most cars in off-road operation quickly loses its appearance and becomes unusable. However, ordinary passenger cars are often repainted, moving mainly around the city.
Polymeric paint Bronekor provides unprecedented protection against mechanical impact. This is one of the main accents in the positive reviews about this coating. Sometimes even attempts to deliberately damage fully cured Bronecor paint with a sharp object end in failure. Polymer shagreen not only does not allow a nail or a key, with force drawn over a painted surface, to reach the metal, but does not even receive visible damage.
Also, the paint does not fade in the sun, is neutral to aggressive environments and withstands high temperatures. The polymer nature completely isolates the metal from moisture penetration. And this is the key to a long service life of the body metal.
Many motorists refer to the negative reviews about Bronecor paint as the lack of really good specialists who can apply this coating 100% with high quality. In almost all cases, after a few months or years, the first signs of delamination appear. And sometimes the polyurethane film is separated from the body in large areas.
The problem is exacerbated by the fact that this type of paintwork is difficult to locally repair. It is almost impossible to choose the exact color and create an identical shagreen. And in case of significant damage, the car has to be completely repainted.
