Buying a set of ratchet wrenches
I think that it is no secret to anyone that due to the nature of my work I often have to disassemble cars for sale for parts, which I wrote about in one of my previous articles. By the way, who have not read it yet, you can familiarize yourself with it here: Earnings for dismantling cars... So, I have to buy a lot of tools for such a case, and almost every month something new appears in my arsenal that I need for my work.
This time I decided to buy myself a set of ratchet wrenches. Again, there is no desire to experiment with manufacturers, when I am completely and completely satisfied with two manufacturers:
- Ombre
- Jonnesway
The Jonnesway kits are great when it comes to ratchet wrenches, but not everyone can afford them as prices are far from the lowest. But if you want impeccable quality and an eminent brand, then why not!
But Ombra is a little cheaper, and I had no complaints about the quality of this tool, and I had a lot of experience in operating this tool. So, of all the sets that are sold from this company, I found the most interesting for me with 7 keys: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 19 mm. Agree that for the repair or disassembly of a domestic car - this is an ideal option.
Many may think that such a tool is useless, and this is just a waste of money. But I can say the opposite. There are cases when you will turn one nut with an ordinary wrench for half a day, and you simply can’t crawl there with a ratchet handle with a head! In this case, a ratchet wrench is ideal. It is thin compared to the handle and works much faster with it than the usual cap or horn.

As you can see, on the one hand, it is made as a conventional open-end wrench, and on the other, in the form of a ratchet. But when compared with conventional keys, these are much thicker and more durable. As for use, there is simply no more convenient tool when used in a limited space, at least I have not seen it. Ratchets are reliable, I had to twist rather heavy connections several times, but there were no breakdowns.
The price of such a set is about 2500 rubles, but it's worth it!
