Peugeot 208 Allure 1.6 BlueHDI 100 Stop-start

Prestige, rich equipment, quality materials and overall a very pleasant driving experience - these are the main features that are best described in the shortest possible way. Admittedly, the new Peugeot Two Hundred and Eight is a slightly updated look that's a bit more dynamic and enjoyable. Nowadays, LED daytime running lights are almost mandatory, giving it a recognizable look, while dynamic and modern lines complement it beautifully. This one clearly from afar says that this is a car that evokes emotions. Hidden under the hood is a superb 1.560cc turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine making around 100 horsepower at 3.750 rpm, and best of all, it also delivers a decent 254 Nm of torque at low 1.750 rpm. .

When driving, this means that a small car that is otherwise large enough to meet the needs of a family, if not spoiled by space, impresses with its dynamism. Driving in and out of town is undemanding, the engine is sharp and copes with the challenge of long-distance driving. There we were also pleasantly surprised by the low consumption. This is about five liters and provides enough range to cover 700 to 800 kilometers with a full tank.

A mixed cycle of daily driving on highways, suburbs and the city serves a range of 650 to 700 kilometers. If you are one of those people who drives a lot and does not like frequent visits to gas stations, this car with this engine is without a doubt one of the best options. Consumption in the test was 6,2 liters per 100 km. Just as the engine impresses with its calm and quiet operation and flexibility, a sense of prestige not typical of this class permeates the interior. The small sports leather steering wheel rests comfortably in the hand and provides excellent control of the vehicle, which, even during dynamic driving, ensures a secure position on the road. The driver has all the controls with buttons on the steering wheel and close at hand, and they've also taken great care of viewing the large LCD screen in the center of the dash where we find richly stocked menus and multimedia equipment.

Music will be played through the six-speaker SMEG system so you won't get lost, and the excellent navigation equipment will take care of it. You can download or play your favorite music via USB and AUX, and there is also a well-functioning Bluetooth system for secure telephony and smartphone connectivity. In the urban crowd, the 208 convinces with its rather small external dimensions that parking is not difficult, and with the use of sensors it can be delicately accurate. Girls, if you have any doubts about parking, this car is for you. This Peugeot 16 with the aforementioned Allure equipment, which provides a modern look, as well as a large glass panoramic roof, 208-inch sports wheels in titanium, sleek chrome accessories inside and external turn signals in the side mirrors, as well as dark shades of the interior, is a real French seducer.

He really lacks charm. The only thing that catches your eye is the high price of a test car without discounts, which costs just under 20 thousand. But with various discounts, it still lands at just under 16K for the end-buyer, which is already pretty good for this car. Economical, safe, nervous and, most importantly, prestigiously equipped, did not leave us indifferent.
