The paparazzi presented half of the new Mercedes models
Automotive paparazzi managed to capture three new Mercedes-Benz models in the vicinity of Sindelfingen. Among them are the new S-Class with very minimal camouflage on the front optics, the next generation C-Class, which is expected only next year, and the upcoming new electric crossover EQE.
Most curious is the C-Class, filmed in a station wagon version, albeit under heavy camouflage. The fifth generation of the model should hit the market in the second half of 2021, but it is clear from the paparazzi footage that one should not expect revolutionary changes in design.
The C-Class will likely also get the special LED taillights we saw in the S-Class, as well as an all-new infotainment system. However, the overall layout remains similar to the previous model.
Much less can be said about the future EQE, which is pictured under heavy camouflage and even with fake taillights added to avoid revealing the design prematurely. This car should be the big brother of the EQC, something of an electric counterpart in the GLE crossover lineup. However, his debut will take place later - sometime in 2022. Before that, two other electric vehicles with a three-pointed star will appear - the compact EQA and EQB.
As for the S-class, this is probably the last shots before the official premiere, scheduled for September. The car has undergone significant changes in the exterior design, especially in the area of lighting, but the real revolution is inside, where a fundamentally new type of information system will be introduced.
