Opel Insignia: DEKRA 2011 Champion

The Opel Insignia is the car with the fewest defects in the 2011 report of the technical supervision organization DEKRA. With an index of 96.1% of cars without any defects, Opel's flagship achieves the best results of all tested models.

This is the second year in a row that an Opel representative has received such recognition after the Corsa won the Best Individual Rating category for 2010. DEKRA creates its annual report through a precise rating system in eight car classes and is based on data from 15 million inspections on 230 different models.

"This fantastic result is further proof that the quality of Opel's models - not just the Insignia, but the entire range - is at the highest level," said Alain Visser, vice president of marketing, sales and after-sales service for Opel. / Vauxhall at the prestigious award ceremony in Rüsselsheim. "We provide our customers with first-class quality and confirm this fact with a lifetime warranty!"

"Congratulations to Opel on the best individual rating achieved for the second year in a row!" Added Wolfgang Linzenmeier, CEO of DEKRA Automobile GmbH. "With 96.1 percent without any defects, the Opel Insignia achieves the best result in all car classes."

Since its presentation in 2008, Insignia has received over 40 international awards, including the extremely prestigious "Car of the Year 2009" for Europe and "Car of the Year 2010" for Bulgaria, thanks to its attractive design and innovative technologies.
