“I have always liked European cars and I definitely have a soft spot for Volkswagen,” said American Taylor Bryant. His first direct experience with the brand's car was with a 1961 Beetles representative, which he bought for $500.

“I traveled from school to college all the time,” Bryant said. “I really got into cars because I had to work on it all the time. You can't afford to pay a lot of people to fix your own car when you're 16 and work for Taco Bell."

Taylor received his degree in automotive technology from Aiken Technical College in South Carolina in 2001 and worked as Chief Automotive Technician at Volkswagen for the next 12 years.

Over the years, Taylor has managed to develop his passion for Volkswagen models, handing over 40 different representatives of the brand's portfolio through his hands. Among his 42 vehicles, he singles out several Golf, Jetta and Passat.

His current collection includes a 1999 Jetta, a 2004 Passat station wagon and a 2017 Jetta, with a potential next target being the 1967 Karmann Ghia.
