Mahindra XUV500 W8 2018 Review: Snapshot

The W8 ranks second (and top) in the XUV500 rankings, ahead of only the W6 in the two-tier lineup. Landing one in the driveway will set you back $29,990 for the 32,990WD version or $XNUMX for the XNUMXWD version. These are also exit prices.

The W8 is based on the standard W6 spec sheet which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, second and third row vented air conditioning (driven by a second compressor), cornering headlights with DRL, front and rear fog lights, cruise control. and rear parking sensors, the addition of leather seats, a reversing camera, tire pressure monitoring and a larger 7.0-inch screen with standard satellite navigation.

It is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 103kW/320Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front or all four wheels.

You can expect dual front, front side and side airbags (although the latter don't extend to the third row of seats) and a rear view camera, as well as rear parking sensors and ESP.
