Haval H6 Premium 2018 Review: Snapshot

The entry-level offering in the Haval H6 lineup is the Premium, which is priced at $31,990, but the brand has deals under $30k.

Standard equipment on this version includes 17-inch wheels, fog lights, automatic headlights and wipers, laser lights, heated auto-folding side mirrors, tinted glass, roof rails, cruise control, ambient lighting, stainless steel door sills, electric drive. adjustable driver's seat, cloth seat trim, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and push-button start, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen multimedia unit with Bluetooth phone, audio streaming, and USB input.

The safety package is respectable, if not best in class, with a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, six airbags, dual ISOFIX child seat attachment points (and three top tether hooks), and blind spot monitoring included on both options. .

The H6 doesn't have satellite navigation as standard on any specification (but it's offered under the aforementioned deals), and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto phone mirroring technology isn't available at all.

It's powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 145kW and 315Nm of torque - better than some of its mainstream rivals that lack turbo technology. However, it doesn't quite match the fuel efficiency ratio, with a claimed consumption of 9.8 l/100 km - about 20% more than most competitors.
