New BMW M4 Coupe is already undergoing final tests
The new M4 version will have a minimum output of 480 horsepower.
Like other variants of the new 4 Series (coupe, convertible, M4 Cabrio), the M4 coupe will have giant kidneys on the front grille. Under the hood, an in-line six-cylinder engine with two turbochargers with a capacity of at least 480 hp will work. For lovers of even more extreme sensations, there will again be a Competition version, which will have 510 horsepower. The engine itself is now completely new: the S58 is already familiar from the BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M. The 48-volt network will not be available - weight and dynamics are most important here. The M4 is based on the CLAR Group platform, which allows you to lose about 50 kilograms. Like the M340i, the transmission will be an eight-speed automatic, but BMW is expected to offer a manual as well. For enthusiasts, it will be more than speed - with the automatic, the model will be faster in sprints up to 100 km / h. From now on, the M4 will only be available with a double gearbox.
Otherwise, as it should be, the new coupe will have a number of distinctive exterior features such as a wider rear track, convex fenders, aerodynamic components, diffuser, etc.
As you would expect, the M4 will be based on special lightweight, large-diameter wheels wrapped in wide tires and equipped with a sports braking system.
The interior will be equipped with sport seats, an M steering wheel, carbon fiber and aluminum, and a variety of M badges. The ergonomic concept will not differ significantly from other models in the 4 Series.
