Test drive Nissan 370Z: blade

В Nissan продолжают доказывать свою компетентность в области спортивных автомобилей. Модель 370Z – еще одно замечательное продолжение традиции бренда по созданию двухместных машин с динамичным вождением.

The speedometer needle shows 100 km / h, the car is rapidly approaching the next turn. The driver maintains full concentration, very lightly presses the brake pedal, returns to third gear with a precisely measured dose of intermediate gas, turns the steering wheel, directing the car to the optimal trajectory, and as soon as he takes it, accelerates again. So far, everything looks great, but still - how exactly did the intermediate gas in question appear? Here the pilot raises his eyebrows in bewilderment. The procedure soon became clear—despite the man's good driving technique and the No. 46's comfortable performance shoes, in this case it was not the driver who had perfected the speed of the 331-horsepower V6 engine. It's actually one of the Japanese's particularly interesting technologies that can turn any 370Z owner into a (almost) professional sport pilot if desired.

In the manual transmission version, the S button on the side of the gear lever not only allows for more spontaneous responses from the 3,7-litre drive, but also creates the intermediate throttle spectacle described above. When working with the clutch and gear lever, the engine adheres to pre-calculated ideal speeds depending on the speed and gear selected. In this way, the engine can recognize, for example, whether you are decelerating before a corner or accelerating in a straight line. The name of this beautiful electronic system is Synchro Rev Control (or SRC for short). Naturally, this is just one of many things that stimulate the good mood of a person sitting behind the wheel of a Nissan.

Even dry numbers from the data sheet predispose to the purchase of a helmet and gloves: 32 kilograms more compact and lighter than the body of its predecessor, 18 horsepower under the hood, variable valve control instead of the classic throttle valve, rear-wheel drive ... Undoubtedly, all this will sound. as a serious challenge for the driver. Even with the engine running, pressing the clutch requires well-trained leg muscles.

On the other hand, the keyless start system has some convenience. One push of a button is enough, and the six-cylinder unit will remind of itself with an energetic roar. Shifting into first gear requires a significant amount of effort, but the lever travel is unmistakably precise and impressively short. But if someone finds it too stressful, you can order an automatic transmission, which this time has seven gears. As an option, the 370Z is based on 19-inch Rays wheels wrapped in noisy but gorgeous Bridgestone RE050 tires.

With Kato Zorro

In the new generation of athletes, the letter Z dominates more than ever: it can be seen not only on the steering wheel and front fenders, but also on the thresholds and brake lights, as if Zoro himself left his famous mark, if only with his famous sword. If the “steering wheel” manages to steer as accurately as possible with the right foot, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is performed in 5,3 seconds. Also impressive are the rich voice capabilities of the V6 engine and the newly developed lightweight exhaust system. From the deafening muttering of a walrus at low revs to the chilling roar of a turn, the 370Z has a huge palette of unforgettable sounds.

When the top speed shown on the tachometer approaches, the red warning light comes on and at the latest it is necessary to upshift to 7500 rpm. As the next corner approaches, the seats provide excellent support at high lateral accelerations. However, before you find a comfortable position in the cab, it will take a long time - on the one hand, seat adjustment is rather inconvenient; on the other hand, the steering wheel only moves in the vertical direction along with the control panel. Three additional devices provide information on battery voltage, oil temperature and accurate time.

Show time

We look back at the speedometer, which again shows 100 km / h, at any moment we will enter a sharp left turn. Slow down, shift to a lower gear and - it's time for the show - to the intermediate gas. It is in situations like this that it becomes clear that sport tires may come at the expense of comfort, but they make up for the incredible possibilities for fast driving. Under extreme cornering acceleration, the traction control light comes on as a warning, but the rear end barely moves. Clearly, the electronics and the rear diff lock really do their job with authority.

The 370Z is a textbook example of a classic sports car that has the privilege of taking advantage of some of the advantages of modern electronics. And all this costs well below 100 leva. The smile spreads across the pilot's face again. The next turn is coming...
