The first generation of the production model of the MG RX5 crossover was unveiled at the 2018 Jeddah Auto Show. The main audience the car is targeting is the Middle East market. In the Chinese market, the model is sold under the name Roewe (with only minor modifications). The novelty is a bit like the contours (and dimensions) of the Volkswagen Tiguan, but this cannot be called a replica. On the front, the headlight module is combined with the radiator grille, and the foglights are built into the bumper itself.

TECH SPECS:

The list of powertrains for the MG RX5 2018 includes two engines equipped with a turbocharger. The 1.5-liter internal combustion engine is powered by a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-position robot. The 2.0-liter variant is paired with an uncontested 6-speed robot with a dual wet clutch. In the base, the crossover is front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive can be ordered only in top-end configuration.
