In 2019, an electric version of the MG EZS front-wheel drive crossover appeared. The novelty is located on the same platform as the sister car ZS. The models have no visual differences at all. The only thing is that instead of the usual radiator grill, the electric car has a plug behind which the battery charging module is located. The car is still equipped with lens front optics, a hint of off-road performance is accentuated by plastic body kits around the perimeter of the car.

Despite a hint of off-road performance, the 2019 MG EZS has exclusively front-wheel drive and combined suspension (a double-wishbone design with MacPherson struts is installed in the front, and a semi-independent transverse torsion beam at the rear). The power plant is powered by a lithium-ion battery (44.5 kWh) located under the floor. Charging from zero to 80% from the quick charge module takes about 30 minutes.
