Mercedes-Benz now offers a permanent all-wheel drive system for the CDI C280, C350 and C320 modifications.

The new generation of the dual transmission mechanism is lighter (60 to 70 kg depending on the model) and works more efficiently. The system includes a seven-speed automatic transmission and a center differential that distributes torque between the front and rear axles in a 45:55 ratio.

The new 4Matic is combined with the ESP stability program and the 4ETS traction control system, which has a differential lock function but works with greater passenger comfort.
