Lexus is introducing the new NX Hybrid, which comes with refreshed lines, new quality levels, Lexus + safety as standard, and a 10,3-inch Dab and Navi infotainment system as standard.
Aesthetic novelties
Launched on the market in 2014, Lexus NX Hybrid updated with a retouched look. The front bumper and light units are equipped with new sequential (LED) turn signals. The LED headlights are now equipped with Adaptive High Beam System (AHS), which is part of the #lexus Safety System + package, available as standard across the entire vehicle range. At the rear, a modification of the lower part of the bumper and light blocks stands out. And to complete the new exterior aesthetics, the new Lexus NX also features new alloy wheels with a redesigned design.
Improved equipment, revised equipment.
The interior equipment of the new Lexus NX includes a wider multimedia display and a new climate control panel that is more streamlined and intuitive. The interiors are available in different colors: the new Ocher is paired with the already available White Ocher, Black and Dark Rose. Flare Red is a new addition to the F SPORT fittings.
Other innovations are in the controls: the display of the Premium navigation system has been enlarged from 7 to 10,3 inches and is offered as standard (except for the Business version). The center console climate control panel has been redesigned for ergonomics and features four comfortable two-position controls with exceptional tactile quality and small metal accents reminiscent of the Lexus L-shape.
In the center of the dashboard is a 4,2 ”TFT color LCD display, which is backlit directly linked to the Drive Mode Select control, which changes depending on the drive mode selected. The new NX also features electrostatic interior lighting controls. On board, it will also be possible to charge the smartphone via a special induction stand.
Two audio systems are available: Pioneer Premium with 10 speakers and Mark Levinson Surround Sound with 14 speakers. The second system was specially designed for this model with Clari-fi ™ technology, which improves the sound quality of compressed digital files.
Lexus + safety system
La new Lexus NX it is also equipped with the Lexus Safety System +, available for the entire range of series or as an option: a complete package of safety technologies designed to prevent and reduce the likelihood of collisions at any speed, including Pre-Crash, Adaptive Cruise Control system, adaptive system high beam, Lane Keeping Assist with Wiggle Alert and Traffic Sign Assist. The system can also be equipped with parking sensors.
On a mechanical level new Lexus NX Hybrid it is available with front-wheel drive or E-Four all-wheel drive. The full hybrid engine combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle heat engine and an electric motor (which becomes two in the case of AWD). The total system power is 197 horsepower / 145 kW. The specially tuned engine provides the vehicle with excellent reactivity and exceptional fuel economy.
