OSRAM lamps. Brighter or safer

At night, the reaction time of a driver with high psychomotor performance is three times longer than during the day, and after two hours of continuous driving, he reacts as if he had 0,5 ppm of alcohol in his blood. That is why it is so important to illuminate the road as best as possible when driving at dusk. OSRAM is constantly improving its products, and the result of its latest work is a completely new line of Night Breaker products with even better parameters.

The new generation of OSRAM Night Breaker Lasers, available from autumn, is the most innovative line in the manufacturer's portfolio, designed for drivers seeking the maximum amount of light on the road. OSRAM has made a number of improvements and technical changes to the design of the lamp. Among other things, the shape of the laser window that operates in the light filter on the flask has changed. Also, the accuracy of fastening the filament has been improved and the composition of the inert gas with which the flasks are filled has been changed. The new generation Night Breaker laser will emit up to 150% brighter light than the standard requirements, and the light beam must reach up to 150 m in front of the vehicle. The bulbs will better illuminate the road at certain points marked with codes 50R, 75R and 50V (i.e. 50m and 75m on the right side of the road and 50m in front of the car). They define the area in front of the car, which is crucial in terms of safety. Such parameters, together with a whiter light color (up to 20%), should allow drivers to react more quickly to danger while driving. The Night Breaker laser meets the requirements, which, in particular, strictly define: the permissible color temperature. They will be available in H1, H3, H4, H7, H8, H11, HB3 and HB4 types.

It should be remembered that 12 V halogen lamps, which give brighter light, are certainly more sensitive to mechanical damage, and their service life is shorter than that of analogues, for example, in the ORIGINAL version. Thus, improved models, previously known as Silverstar, will also join the "family" of Night Breaker lamps. The new Night Breaker Silver lamps provide up to 100% brighter light and illuminate the road up to 130 m away. Available in H1, H4, H7 and H11 versions, they can be the perfect solution for drivers looking for a smart compromise. – i.e. lamps give more light, but are not as sensitive to the conditions in which they work.
