The question I will try to answer is very simple, but at the same time difficult: "Which of the two supercars is better, the Aventador or the Huracán?".

Exterior: the union of beauty and content

At first I start observing them side by side and immediately notice some similarities, but also many differences. There Fan (especially in the version of our Roadster test) she is insanely beautiful. This is a classic donut with a hole, a car whose poster will adorn the bedrooms of children all over the world for years to come. From whatever point of view you look at it, it is aggressive, its design and style convey energy and movement, even when it is motionless, like futuristic sculptures. On the other side, Huracandespite its balanced price tag compared to its older sister (it costs almost 50% less), it attracts attention with its perfect, almost "robotic" lines and a little more freshness than Fan.

I think I spent a good half hour studying every part of the body, every air intake, every little thing. I guarantee you that the work done by the Lamborghini Style Center on both cars is incredible. Exterior lines are studied with obsessive meticulousness to recreate the union of beauty and content: Italian design opposed to German rationality.

My gaze stops alternately on both cars ... then, almost unconsciously, I realize that I tend to linger for a few seconds on the car. Fan... Despite the fact that more than 4 years have passed since its presentation, in the Roadster version (in the author's humble opinion) it is still "illegally" beautiful.

Interior: Italian quality tailoring and German technology.

Then I head to Fan... With great attention, I pull the lever to open the door, which immediately rises smoothly and picturesquely. The perfection of the opening mechanism immediately reminds us that, by right, anyone who puts so much savings in a vehicle has very high hopes for this product. Sitting inside it immediately evokes strong, intense, vivid emotions. Wherever you go to look, you are struck by a riot of elegance: the seats, door panels and dashboard are completely covered in leather, crafted so skillfully that even the eyes feel soft. It is incredible to be able to see and touch the tailoring required to work out every little detail to perfectly carve a practical center console and a large digital tachometer. Likewise, a tremendous amount of design and engineering work has resulted in controls that have been carefully researched from a functional, ergonomic and stylistic point of view.

THE interior of Hurricane instead, they seem to convey a different spirit. The first impression after getting into the cockpit is that Lamborghini's new stylistic course sacrifices a pinch of elegance in favor of a newly discovered lightness: more software and more tech, less baroque frills (useless for the performance of the car). Don't get me wrong: the leather of the seats and the plastic of the perfectly crafted controls confirm that we're sitting in a brand new supercar, but the thoughtful and modern interior design does seem to really come from a not-too-immediate future. First of all, my attention was drawn to the futuristic virtual instrument panel (the same one is present on the new Audi TT). The screen has the resolution of the best tablets, and through the center console (temperature and climate indicators are also digital), you can interact in a simple and intuitive way with this super-brain that controls every electronic aspect of the car.

To summarize, if you look at the interior, you can see the generational difference between the two cars. There Fan boasts an impeccable quality of materials, but technologically and innovatively Hurricane confirms that it belongs to the 2.0 generation of supercars. After all, the first was presented in 2011 and it is inconceivable that it should keep up with the latest. Hurricane, presented literally last year at the Geneva Motor Show.

After evaluating and carefully studying the shapes, I allow myself a few seconds to consider the incredible technical characteristics of the two cars. The constant and inexhaustible thrust of the engine literally hits the seat and in the blink of an eye you are teleported to the end of the straight. knowing you can count on devastating carbon-ceramic brakes (which work too well, by the way). Each acceleration corresponds to an orgasm of feelings. The sound of the engine, dark and serious at low revs, follows the curve of a lucky driver's smile: it becomes more and more intense, reaching a sharper and more explosive tone above 6.000 rpm (especially when "race" mode is selected), to allow the driver to experience one of the most bright and vivid emotions in your life. And the best part is that with every acceleration the magic is repeated... what an incredible car!

Aside from the destructive thrust, there is immediately a profound difference in engine sound. Let's start with the price: it's worth spending 50% more on the acquisition. Fan? In my opinion, no ... but maybe yes. And I'll explain why.

In my judgments, I always try to be cool and impartial. The painstaking work of designers, engineers and all human resources involved in the launch of a new car model deserves respect and, above all, a serious verdict that can guide the end user. In this case, however, unless you are an emir, a wealthy entrepreneur, or a soccer player, it is unlikely that one of these two incredible supercars will land on the shopping list. We mere mortals can do nothing but dream and fantasize.

However, since I was lucky enough to ride both, here are some shopping tips. To a sheikh or anyone with an infinite amount of money, I would recommend buying both. Because everyone has their own soul and because they deliver strong, but different emotions while driving. For a wealthy entrepreneur, I would advise Hurricane... Book price (relative Fan) is probably promoting it as the best Lamborghini ever. In addition, in terms of performance, they are very similar to cars, and therefore, from a purely economic point of view, it is not worth spending almost 50% more on two extra cylinders. Finally, for a player looking to spawn, I would definitely recommend Aventador Roadster... At least until it comes out Hurricane Roadster (we'll talk about this again ...).

Emotions are inevitable ...

Ah, I almost forgot about the most numerically important category: the common man. All of us who cannot buy it, as I already wrote, can only dream and root for this or that. I personally welcome Fan... Although the interiors are less technologically advanced and, despite the performance, don't cost all that money more than Hurricane, I fell madly in love with her. While driving, it feels like your favorite song is playing on the radio, and you are waiting for it to finally get out of the car. This is true. From emotions (and from one Fan) you would never want to get off ...
