Short test: Nissan Juke 1.6 Accenta Sport Naito (86 kW)

I recently spoke with a Mexican PR representative for a different but European car brand who said that Mexicans are completely crazy about Nissan cars, so much so that Nissan was even the first to sell cars in Mexico. But then she added that they are very ugly. Hmm, it's true that big, reliable Nissan SUVs are heaven for men and hell for female drivers, and something definitely matters to personal taste.

However, Nissan's design approach is bold and therefore distinct from other Japanese brands. We all know, for example, Pathfinder and Patrol X-Trail, but women are interested in Qashqai, maybe Murano and especially Juke. Because they are different, because, according to one interlocutor, they are cute, and so on.

The test Juke was different too. So much so that you can't even buy it now. No, they haven't stopped doing it, but in the struggle for new customers, Nissan Juka is constantly being equipped with various packages. Attractive to understand. For example, the Naito equipment kit is no longer available, but Shiro is now available. The story is similar: in addition to great standard equipment, you also get exclusive accessories. We seriously think about great equipment, as the test Juke was mostly equipped with the Acenta Sport package, which is almost the best, and in fact it brings everything to the Juka except leather, a navigation device and a rear-view camera. In addition, Naito introduced black or in addition to black rims, armrests between the front seats. If you look at the final price, you can easily see that this is an affordable and well-equipped vehicle.

Of course, a few words should be said about the engine. This is a 1,6-liter engine and is large enough for its 117 "horses". Especially if we know that its similarly turbocharged big brother can handle up to 190. We can't say “117” horsepower isn't enough, but we're definitely missing out on another gear on the gearbox, which is only a five-speed. ... This, of course, means a lot of shifting and spinning at higher revs. The result is higher gas mileage and, above all, more noise. And, perhaps, the latter is of the greatest concern.

But that's really the only real downside to this Juke, which is probably too small to completely ruin the experience. The Juke is such a cute rebel, well equipped and eventually available with a range of other engines.

They are already equipped with a six-speed gearbox as standard!
