It is true that the Ford Ranger is not in the same category, but the progress is very noticeable. It's hard to call it just a truck or a work machine when its equipment alone suggests that it offers so much more.
The test Ford Ranger mainly offered four-wheel drive - with the option of electronically switching to two-wheel (rear) drive. With an electronic switch, this can be done while driving at speeds up to 120 kilometers per hour. If you're planning on taking it into the wild, there's also a gearbox and descent control system and a trailer stabilization system if it's connected.
Inside, the Ranger is also a real Ford, and it has one of the best things in the automotive world, namely a heated windshield, dual-zone air conditioning, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a cooled front box, and a rearview camera. All this is included as standard!
In addition, the test Ranger was equipped with a towbar, adjustable radar cruise control, an electrical outlet (230V / 150W) and an electronic rear differential lock. The design notes have been complemented by a Limited Black style package that was limited in time and no longer available, but of course you can choose between others and the like. The package was not only a design package (and the rest of the similar ones that are still available are not available), because in addition to the external accessories, which of course were dressed in black, the cabin also offered front sensors to assist with parking, already mentioned reversing camera and SYNC navigation system with touchscreen. I mention all of the above mainly because by doing this the machine really convinces itself that it is much more than just a working machine.
After all, driving is not as reliable anymore. The Ranger is not at the level of a car with it, but it could already go straight with large and bulky crossovers. Of course, the 200-horsepower engine and six-speed automatic deserves a lot of attention here, which greatly simplifies everything, and at the same time, the combination works well and to a satisfactory level. Thus, driving is not a hassle, and because of the cut lines (especially at the rear), parking is not difficult. Of course, it should be borne in mind that such a ranger has dimensions significantly more than five meters in length, so it simply will not work to squeeze it into every hole. On the other hand, it is again true that we can place it where it is difficult for the person to walk.
