KIA has taken a leading position in auto sales

March 2020 was marked by low sales in the global car market. However, it seems that the Korean automaker did not touch on this situation. They have achieved some success this month.

Auto company KIA announced its successful conquest of the Indian market. The brand new Seltos crossover was presented on it. The model debuted in the summer of 2019 in India. A week later, she appeared in the markets of South Korea. It is planned that the Indian car market will become the main one for the sales of this car. Official dealerships sold 8 of the crossover last month, although March was a losing month for many other automakers.

Automakers say the new KIA has a unique design. It will have a wide diamond-shaped radiator mesh. The model will receive an updated bumper. The headlights will also change their appearance. Rims are 16,17 and 18 inches.

The car will be equipped with six airbags, air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors with a camera, six-speaker multimedia, climate control for two zones and an extended package of security options. Access to the salon is keyless with the ability to start the engine with a button. The power units that come with the model for India are: 1,5-liter aspirated gasoline; 1,4-liter turbocharged; diesel engine with a volume of 1,5 liters.

A slight decrease in sales was the result of the raging pandemic COVID-19. During the eight months of the car’s presence on the market, lovers of the Korean automobile industry have already purchased 83 thousand copies of the Seltos crossover.

Experts believe that if the situation with coronovirus infection improves, sales of this car can reach 100 thousand.
